Accommodation

See Camping

Camping

A campsite operated by Whittlebury Hall, walking distance from Silverstone Circuit, is our preferred supplier for your accommodation; click here to access full details of how to book.

Camping Frequently Asked Questions:

Can we BBQ? Safely, yes.  Raise them off the ground and dispose of your hot coals safely.

Can we bring soundsystems? Modest soundsystems, yes.  Be mindful that Whittlebury is a small rural village and noise travels.  No noise after 23:00 please.

Can we drink alcohol? Yes, but keep it sensible.  You’re working on cars and possibly driving them.  You’re all adults, use your common sense.

Will our stuff be safe? The campsite has 24 security, but we would advise that you keep any valuables with you (or leave them at home!).  IMechE and the campsite operators accept no liability for loss or damage to personal property.

Can I park next to my tent? No. For everyone’s safety and enjoyment, vehicle movement on the campsite is prohibited.  Ample parking is available in the adjacent field.

Can we camp close to our mates if they’re in another team? Sure – pop us an email when you’ve made your booking and we’ll do what we can to reserve adjacent plots.

My question isn’t answered here, where do I get more information? Check the T&Cs on the campsite booking form.  If you still can’t find an answer, email us at fs@imeche.org
